Do you see clients virtually or in person?
I offer virtual appointments through a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform, as well as in-person visits in Aliso Viejo, CA.
What times of the day do you see clients?
I see clients from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Tuesdays. In-person sessions are available on Thursdays and Fridays.
How long do you typically work with clients?
The length of time varies depending on the individual. Some clients may work with me for several years, while others may only need a few months of support. My goal is to provide support for as long as clients need to feel confident and at peace in their relationship with food.
What are sessions like?
Appointments typically last 50-60 minutes. In the beginning, I usually see clients weekly for the first 2-4 sessions to get a clear picture of their behaviors, challenges, and life context. After that, we’ll determine the best frequency for follow-up sessions. For clients dealing with eating disorders or working on their relationship with food, we typically stick to weekly sessions, though that can fluctuate—either increasing to bi-weekly or returning to weekly, depending on what’s going on at the time.
Sessions are highly individualized and tailored to your specific goals, concerns, and challenges. During our first session, we’ll focus on gathering information: your health history, medication and supplement use, eating behaviors, and relationship with food. We’ll also talk about your exercise routine, review a 24-hour food recall, and set initial goals. n follow-up sessions, we’ll review your wins and challenges, discuss what’s been working (or what hasn’t), and explore any other areas that feel important to you.
Do you make meal plans?
I do not make specific meal plans. Instead, I focus on creating structure and consistency around meals, providing a flexible framework for what a balanced meal looks like. We'll work together on recognizing your hunger and fullness cues, so you can determine how much food your body needs. I won’t tell you exactly what to eat or judge your food choices, but I’ll support you in finding meals that work for your lifestyle and preferences. If you’d like, we can also plan meals together in session based on your likes and dislikes.
